12 Fresh Produce Buys That Will Last the Week
WANT TO SHOP LESS??
Staying out of the grocery store can be tough, especially when you are incorporating a lot of fresh produce into your meals. Greens can wilt quickly, tomatoes can go bad in just a couple of days & don’t get me started on avocados… We’ve all been there, when it went from perfect to spoiled in a moment.
During this time of isolation & social distancing, it has been recommended to limit exposure to others in your community by limiting social errands, including grocery shopping. If you’re like me, I LOVE getting into the grocery store, shopping around & have no issue running back if I forgot something for the recipes I have planned. It has honestly been a challenge to get everything I need in one trip & force myself to deal with it if anything gets left behind!
Maybe this feels challenging for you as well! Feeling limited on buying the healthy foods you want & need to support your health can make these lifestyle changes seem even more out of reach than they normally might. Typically anything fresh will spoil quickly, end up in the trash, or leave you wanting to make multiple trips to keep up with it all week!
To help with this feeling, I wanted to give you some produce finds that will definitely last the week — and sometimes longer! This is helpful to know when shopping not just during this quarantine, but any other time as well!
I’ve rounded up 12 fresh produce items that will last you the week & even longer in some cases! I also included some ways to use these foods so that you can stock up & mix it up! Being bored with your plate never feels as satisfying as creating a dish that is not only nutritious, but delicious & exciting as well!
