Mint Matcha Green Smoothie
Healthy “Shamrock Shake?” I think so!
Green smoothies are the perfect, quick morning meal in my book! You can sneak in veggies right away, you can make it literally any way you like, and it’s ready in a matter of minutes.
And making it taste good — easier than you think! I love adding bright flavors to beat out the bitter that comes with some of the greens I throw into my blends. This recipe features a yummy herb that brings that spring feeling, as well as familiar taste we all know and love.
Mint!
Seriously, fresh mint is underrated and should be a staple in any kitchen. It adds a flavor that cannot be matched by an extract. I whipped up this minty, delicious green smoothie that will put any Shamrock Shake to shame — plus it’s full of healthy fats, filling protein, 2 cups of vegetables per serving, AND it' has a pop of caffeine! Matcha makes this smoothie a little extra special and will give you a focused, calm energy that this tea powder is known for.
I used Vital Proteins Matcha Collagen powder for this recipe — because it has both matcha and my go to protein powder in it, but in case you don’t have it on hand, you can 100% use whatever protein powder you’re into and a heaping spoon on matcha tea powder.

Mint Matcha Green Smoothie
Prep Time: 5 min
Servings: 2
INGREDIENTS
2 c milk of choice, I used unsweetened almond milk
2 c baby spinach
2 small zucchini, sliced
2 small bananas, sliced
1 avocado
1/4 c hemp hearts
4 scoops Vital Proteins Matcha Collagen
*Or 2 servings of protein powder plus 1 Tbsp. matcha powder
1/2-3/4 c fresh mint leaves
INSTRUCTIONS
Add all ingredients into a high-speed blender.
Blend together for 2-5 minutes or until smooth.
Serve in 2 glasses or mason jars.
