This week I looked back over how far I have come in the last few months, how much I have learned with your guidance and finally feeling like “it’s ok to eat”. You don’t have to fear eating out, or meals at home.

As someone that struggled with emotional eating and my binge eating past I have noticed times when I’m tempted to eat all my macros in a short period of time (and then have to fight off these thoughts/urge or pivot my attention which takes a huge mental toll) but the point to my story is that isn’t even a thought or urge that has been coming into my head over the past few weeks. And while this might seem like a strange recognition of growth I CANNOT even express to you the increase in mental capacity and energy I have when I’m free from dealing with those thoughts and free from fighting those old patterns of behavior. I feel like I want to give myself more love, support, credit and recognition for the badass things I’m doing consistently, and want to be supportive of the people around me more. It’s AWESOME.

I feel really comfortable with my relationship with food. And that's not to say I'm perfect 100% but even the days I am running around busy I find myself prioritizing grabbing food or snacks. In the past I would go hours without eating even all day and not even think about it and now I can't skip a meal or snack time without telling myself to get something to eat.

How I’m feeling: great! It never ceases to amaze me how I can be eating so much more food, yet feel leaner and even weigh less. I have a past history of eating disorders and spent so many years under eating, and now, my body is just so happy when I nourish it.

Being in the TTC, pregnancy, and postpartum times can be so dang vulnerable and challenging to navigate — with new goals, food aversions, low energy, and so many other pieces of the motherhood puzzle. As a new mom myself and certified Pre & Postnatal Nutrition and Fitness Coach, I am confident I can help guide you during this time, no matter the starting point and no matter the current goal.
